Accounts that drop below $50 will incur a monthly minimum balance fee

• ATM card available

• Up to 6 withdrawals per month

• Interest is paid on accounts in an open status on a quarterly basis (March, June, September, December)

• Statement annually (monthly statements when required by regulation)

***The Federal Reserve Board on April 24, 2020 announced an interim final rule to amend Regulation D, allowing consumers to make an unlimited amount of withdrawals or deposits from savings deposit accounts instead of being capped at six.  Bank of the Mountains has permanently suspended this regulation, giving their customers an unlimited number of non in person transfers.  However, an “Excessive Activity Fee” may be applied.

An easy way to save money simply by swiping your debit card

• Can be paired with any checking account (with the exception of Money Market accounts) in which you have a debit card

• By using your debit card, odd cents are directly deposited into your savings account each day

• Interest rate is the same as a passbook savings account

• Require daily minimum balance of $2,500.00  or above to receive interest

Certificates are a higher paying savings account and are set for an agreed period of time for the customer.  Rates vary according to the periods of time.

• Certificates are fixed rate time deposits

• Terms are 30 days, 91 days, 182 days, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, 36 months, 48 months or 60 months

• Interest may be paid by check, depositing to checking or savings account, or by adding to the account

•  A 90 day or 182 day penalty may apply upon early withdrawal

What safer place is there to store your deeds, insurance papers and other valuables other than a Safety Deposit Box at one of our offices to complete your banking needs?

• Must maintain an account with Bank of the Mountains to rent a Safety Deposit Box

• May enter the Safety Deposit Box any time during banking hours

• Rental may be paid annually by cash, automatic withdrawal from checking or savings account with Bank of the Mountains, or by check

• Safety Deposit Box sizes are as follow:  3 X 5 – $30.00, 3 X10 – $40.00, 5 X 10 – $55.00, 10 X 10 – $65.00
